Gardener and Yoga Student
I started my career as a trained horticulturalist and progressed into garden centre management also working at the Royal Horticultural Society. After 10 years as a self employed gardener I was lucky enough to find a local Ashtanga yoga class which helped me heal repeated back twinges from all the digging and weeding. After developing a sound self-practice I felt the need to spread this healing practice to as many people as possible and started to teach. This began when friends and family asked 'to show them what this yoga thing was about’.
We now have a full programme of Mysore in Guildford 6 days a week.
Experience
My experience of teaching Ashtanga yoga is broad having had exposure to many different body types both men and women, strong, flexible, tight and bendy.
I am continuing my own journey regularly at Sharath Yoga Centre Mysore, daily home practice and regular visits to Hamish Hendry at Ashtanga Yoga London. I am forever grateful to my teachers for their commitment, compassion, patience & inspiration.
Yoga for ALL PEOPLE
I am very keen to encourage all levels of student to find their own path and develop safe technique learning Ashtanga yoga in Guildford. I teach from different angles suiting the beginner to the more advanced. I offer a relaxed open honest approach to teaching and use simple language and gentle encouragement to help people focus on their yoga journey.
